Prayer Time

Make prayer an important time and not just something you tack on to the end of your Personal Time or Family Time each day. You need to pray for specifics and not in generalities. You need to pray for the most important issue of life which is for the salvation of souls and not just for physical and temporal things.

During Family Time give each member of the family an opportunity to share a prayer item. As they do, have another member of the family take that request. When the children are small have each one pick a missionary prayer card from a box and pray for that family. As the Lord answers prayer be sure to rejoice about it and thank the Lord.

Each day when you pray:

1. Confess your sins to God.
2. Tell Him what you think of His creation and how much you love Him.
3. Thank Him for specific things He has done in your life recently.
4. Ask Him for things that he would want you to be asking for. Pray for your family, friends and missionaries. So spend the last few minutes talking to God in prayer.
